I've recently stumbled into learning about Casvisor and realize it could possibly be a replacement for Guacamole (unless I fundamentally misunderstand what this is) can it be done without a hard dependency of taking on an entirely new authentication system I currently am fairly heavy into Authelia and Cadvisor does look pretty slick the switch would be chaos.

hi, you are free to keep using the free endpoint: door.casdoor.com as the auth service for your casvisor

Use username: admin and password: 123

It will be exactly like it has "no auth"

lol I just mean I have a traefik middleware that's using my Authelia setup I imagine it would be wasteful probably to switch just for one app when I have like 50 in prod.

Thanks for the fast replies though.

Are you saying that you don't want to setup an instance of casdoor?

And you want a solution to do this?

If yes, I think i'm giving a solution..

I wouldn't mind I suppose but like from what I understand and please correct me if I'm way off target Casvisor is a replacment for Guacamole?

you dont' need to setup casdoor

just ignore it

i don't know why you mention casdoor again and again

you said you use authelia, then you said "it doesn't show a dependency on casdoor". So you want casdoor or not?

Sure I and I can understand why you'd be confused about that but I didn't come to this place coming through the front door I found Casvisor first that's all.

Casdoor is something I read the name of in a reddit post and it was entirely opaque to me what the crossover might be and I was hoping for that clarity and you helped out its wonderful thanks

can you send a github issue with full context instead?

i don't think this ad-hoc conversation is very helpful

nope you got me to my answer.

I was just curious about casvisor I found out about it on my way out the door headed to the gym and now I'm back I had some time to ask some questions and reach some clarity thanks again!

I just didn't want to sink a pile of time learning that this tool had a hard dependency on Casdoor since its seemingly in the same ecosystem denoted by the naming convention that I know none of the history of as a fresh arrival.

I just basically needed some stupid questions to be asked and answered and you saved me a pile of time.
