It's depend how you are using Stripe: if you set subscriptions into Stripe, in this case, Stripe will send to the user/customer some emails as a reminder before the end of the subscription, then once the subscription is finish, an email to say that subscription is canceled. But if you are using Stripe only for payment checkout and are setting subscriptions into an other app (like for example into Casdoor) in this case Stripe will not notify the customer. But anyway, better to use 3rd party app to manage the notification/emails to the customers, as Stripe itslef send only very basic non-editable email...
Hello,
Unfortunately not. Nobody answered me about this. Just one guy that suggested that this issue require coding and "offered" his service for it (I think he asks money for this).
Actually, I decided to not use the payment system from Casdoor, as it is too primitive. I'm using Stripe payment and Stripe Billing, and once the payment is made, users receive an invitation code to create a Casdoor account.
And the subscription plans (changes, cancel, etc.) are managed directly into the Stripe Client portal.
It's working quite well like this for me.
Thank you, but I want to resolve this problem without coding (as it should be something in relationship with Permission).
I have a problem: when I create a Plan for a subscription, and a customer choose on a Plan, he should create an account in Casdoor, then a product page with the payement button appear (Stripe in my case). If the customer click on that button, an error message appear: Failed to save: Only admin user can specify user.
I've turned off all the permission in Casdoor, but nothing change...
Any idea how to correct this? 🤔
Here is the screenshot

As I know (but I'm new on Casdoor) , in your Application, delete "Verification Code" option from "Signin methods". But you have to let at least one verification option (for example "Password").
Thank you for answer @flutchigroup_ryon
I have installed it and am trying it for now. Looks good.
I think I will be able to manage the roles/groups mapping between Casdoor and our website.
Just some questions about product pages:
-
is there a way to change the very ugly (even horrible!) product page, where users can buy products/subscription?
I see we can customize login page, messages, and so on, but why not the ugly product page?... -
and is it possible to choose some other currencies for products ?
I'm in Euro zone, and my users don't care about USD or Yuan... And I'm using Stripe payment provider that offers dozens of different currencies. So. I don't see why we could choose between only two currencies... 🤨
Hello everybody, we have a website that is using roles to manage the access of customers to the content, and Stripe to manage the subscriptions to those roles. We are now using Auth0 to link each other, but it doesn't work seamlessly...
My question is: do you think that Casdoor platform is able to "link" the roles between Casdoor and our website through OIDC login? (our website is able to manage roles through OIDC and SAML2). The purpose is: customers buy a subscription with Stripe to get a role into Casdoor, then Casdoor update the role into our website.
And such linkage will need few or no coding on Casdoor? or a lot of coding?
Regards
