We are encountering an issue when sending emails through Amazon SES on port 465 from Casdoor.
The error returned is:

dial tcp 15.236.68.209:565 i/o timeout

After investigation, we confirmed that Amazon SES is fully operational, and port 465 is open and reachable from external networks:

nc -vz email-smtp.eu-west-3.amazonaws.com 465 → succeeded

This suggests that while SMTP connectivity to Amazon SES works correctly, Casdoor’s SaaS servers may be unable to establish outbound TCP connections to Amazon SES, possibly due to egress network restrictions or firewall rules.

Could you please check whether outbound traffic on port 465 is allowed from your servers?

Hello, I’m currently experiencing an issue when trying to reset my password on Casdoor. After entering my email address and requesting the verification code, the following error appears: dial tcp 15.xxx.xxx.xxx:465: i/o timeout. It seems that the application is unable to connect to the SMTP server to send the password reset email. Could you please help me ? Thanks in advance
