LDAP import crashes due to phone column varchar(20) limit with extension numbers

Hello.
We got a problem.
In our LDAP store users can have phone number like
+123456789;exten=45678
something like that.
Casdoor crashes during import because phone column in databse is varchar(20)
Is it safe to alter column type? Or maybe there are other tested methods?
